Our Success

Raised on the family farm and deeply immersed in gardening and orchard management, Scott Anderson harbored a persistent aspiration to devise a precise method for regulating irrigation water application. Recognizing the myriad benefits such an innovation could offer to both farmers and researchers, Scott was driven to spearhead the development of Acclima’s flagship technologies: the TDT and TDR soil moisture sensors.

Scott Anderson, Acclima’s founder.

In 1996

Scott Anderson departed from his longstanding executive role at Hewlett Packard (HP), culminating a prosperous three-decade career. Opting against retirement, he leveraged his life savings and master’s degree in electrical engineering to establish Acclima, Inc., a pioneering enterprise specializing in soil moisture sensors and SDI-12 data loggers.

Holding 11 patents

Scott Anderson currently holds a total of 11 patents, indicating a significant level of innovation and expertise in High-tech soil sensing technology.

Scott’s soil water content sensors are rapidly earning global recognition as a benchmark for soil condition monitoring and management. Throughout the past two decades, Acclima has delivered substantial savings to farmers and researchers, mitigating irrigation and fertilization costs without compromising production; rather, its state-of-the-art technologies have measurably enhanced harvests in both yield and quality. Acclima remains committed to spearheading novel advancements in soil moisture sensor technologies.
