Acclima True TDR-310W Soil Moisture Sensor (SDI-12)

Product Summary

The TDR-310W soil moisture sensor represents the latest innovation from Acclima’s Soil Smart series, providing precise and reliable measurements of soil water content in a variety of growing environments.  this fully integrated digital TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) sensor is designed to excel in different soil types and soilless media, making it an ideal choice for agricultural and horticultural applications.

Tailored to fit well with rockwool cubes commonly used in greenhouse settings, the TDR-310W features 10 cm waveguide rods that ensure optimal performance in tight spaces. Its compact form factor and specialized design make it a versatile solution for growers seeking accurate soil moisture data in confined areas.

The TDR-310W is a modification of the Acclima TDR-315N, with shorter rods that allow it to seamlessly integrate with standard rockwool blocks. It employs advanced waveform-generating and digitizing functions, coupled with sophisticated firmware for true-time domain analysis of soil-propagated waveforms.

Experience enhanced precision and performance with the TDR-310W soil moisture sensor, the latest addition to Acclima’s Soil Smart series, designed to meet the demands of modern agriculture and greenhouse cultivation.

Description of your image

TRUE Time-Domain Reflectometer (TDR) sensors, widely acknowledged as the pinnacle of moisture sensing technology, have long grappled with various limitations such as restricted mobility, coaxial lead connections limiting bandwidth, and steep costs, often reaching thousands of dollars.
However, Scott Anderson, the visionary founder of Acclima Inc., has revolutionized this landscape. After years of meticulous research aimed at refining and downsizing TDR technology, this year marks the unveiling of a sensor that addresses these challenges head-on. Encapsulated within a robust epoxy resin enclosure, this sensor incorporates all necessary electronics, algorithms, and signal processing, while featuring an industry-standard SDI-12 interface.
Tailored for “insertion type” soil readings, the sensor offers exceptional user-friendliness in the field. Moreover, boasting a generous 150ml sample volume, it surpasses Capacitance probes by a significant margin.
